With nearly 200 employees and only one staff member in the HR department, keeping employee personnel files accurate and up to date was a constant battle. This was the situation Shannon Caven, HR Coordinator, inherited when she arrived at Ritz Lutheran Villa retirement community. Ms. Caven had used info:HR in her previous employment, so she was well aware of the capabilities it could deliver to her new employer, especially with attendance and entitlements management high on her to-do list. Adding to the complexity of the task, a number of part-time employees record hours worked to different jobs, at different rates of pay, within a single pay period.
Other members of the management team were introduced to info:HR through an on-site demonstration. Ms. Caven then developed her business case. After successfully presenting it to the full management team, she was given the green light to proceed.
Implementation of info:HR will begin shortly, with the project expected to be completed before year-end. Future plans include an interface to the payroll system, eliminating the effort of duplicate data entry.
